Youth Construct's 2026 Graduation Celebration was an unforgettable evening honoring the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of Cohort '26. Hosted at the Innovation Triangle – West Harlem, with generous support from Janus Property, the venue provided the perfect setting to celebrate this important milestone. Thanks to the creativity of Simply Events, the space was transformed into a memorable celebration for our graduates, their families, and supporters.
The evening was hosted by Justin Pack of Amazon's Strategic Customer Engagement team, whose enthusiasm and engaging presence kept the celebration lively from beginning to end.
A highlight of the evening was the inspiring keynote address from Nelly Velasquez, Business Development Manager at Turner Construction. As a longtime supporter of Youth Construct, Nelly shared words of encouragement, urging graduates to welcome new opportunities, trust in their abilities, and pursue their goals with confidence, resilience, and determination.
From inspiring speeches to proud families and excited graduates, the evening reflected the impact of the program and the bright futures ahead. Cohort '26 leaves Youth Construct prepared to take the next step toward successful careers in the ACED industry.
New York Build Expo is hosted every year at the Javits Center as the largest construction and design show in the Tri-State area, bringing together industry leaders (CEO, COOs, Presidents), architects, developers, and government agencies.
For students, it’s a rare chance to network with professionals, discover career pathways, and gain exposure to cutting-edge innovations shaping the built environment. This is a way for students to build their professional development skills by pitching the organization to get to know us, but for them to build opportunities to possibly get an introduction for a internship.
